PROFIT in Paris for a FEBEA Seminar

The PROFIT project was discussed and presented in Paris on the 26th of January in the context of a FEBEA strategic Seminar. This was a meeting that gathered high-level representatives from almost all members throughout Europe concerning the future strategy of FEBEA.

PROFIT at Semantics 2017 Conference

PROFIT project participated at SEMANTiCS 2017 (11-14/09/2017). The annual SEMANTiCS conference is the meeting place for professionals who make semantic computing work, and understand its benefits and know its limitations.

A new Knowledge Graph for the Finance Sector

Data processing in the PROFIT platform, namely such tasks as data access, search, topic analysis, sentiment analysis, recommendations and preference extraction are based on a module, which extracts knowledge objects (concepts) from the contents of the platform. At the heart of this extracting tool is a thesaurus, which is holding the domain-specific knowledge as a network of related concepts. PROFIT’s knowledge graph describes entities, names, objects, actors and their interrelation and so sets the ground for analyzing and annotating the textual resources and further processing of textual data (sentiment, analysis, topic and trend analysis, recommendations, etc.).

Introducing “My Data” features

As of September 2017, we’ve introduced into PROFIT platform features related to so called “My Data”, namely:

  • ability to view all the data from and about the user (himself) which the platform contains = “View all the data”
  • ability to download all that data in machine readable form = “Download all the data”
